After overwhelming interest and visitors to Wattlewood’s Beef Week and Bull Sale Preview Day at the end of January, John and Fiona Glover have switched focus and are now working towards their Annual On Farm Bull Sale on Thursday 14th of March at 4pm.

The couple have 31 bulls catalogued for their sale with the stud’s slogan of “Ticking All The Boxes”, and that they are. The bulls have all gone through the Immune Ready Program which has been developed and endorsed by the leading cattle industry bodies in Australia, where sale animals are tested P.I. negative for Pestie Virus, vaccinated with 7in1, Pestigard, Vibrovax and Rhinogard. The bulls are also semen tested, and are Genotyped with a Sire/ Parent verification.

These ready for work quiet bulls have also had a couple of lessons on the halter, making them even easier to handle so you don’t have to be a “big time cattleman” to enjoy owning any of these animals.

Some of the sires that are represented in this years sale include the $280K sire, Texas Iceman R725, Rennylea Prospect P550, Millah Murrah Quixote Q96, Sydgen Enhance and Alpine Muzza M245.

Wattlewood’s breeding philosophy is to have structurally correct, quiet animals that perform. While the Glover’s have never concentrated on EBV’s, Wattlewood have potential stud and herd sires available that are among the best in the breed for birth weight, growth, structure, carcass EBV’s and the various Angus Indexes.

Fiona states “We pride ourselves on the relationships that we have developed with our bull buying clients over the years and appreciate hearing how well the bulls are working for their new owners”. “It is great to get an insight to what our breeders are trying to achieve and help them accomplish this when selecting the next wave of genetics that will be used over the strong female base that we have”.

For any enquiries that you may have, to request a catalogue or view the bulls that are available prior to the sale, Fiona can be contacted on 0416 216 951.
